At Crystal Reservoir (near Mile Marker 6) you can hike the short Overlook Trail or other lakeside trails. Enjoy bank fishing, non-gasoline powered boating, belly boating, mountain biking and picnicking or pan for minerals at the Mining Sluice.
This Gift Shop is one of your first stops on the way up the mountain, About 1/4 of the way up the Mountain but it can’t be reached by taking the Cog Railway. The penny machine is located inside the gift shop entrance and to the left. You must pay an entrance fee to the Pikes Peak Highway to get to it.
Limited amount of free parking across the highway from the gift shop.
