The Bomber Restaurant has been family owned since it opened in 1948. There used to be a 48-pump gas station housed beneath a WWII-vintage B-17G "Flying Fortress" four-engine bomber in front of the restaurant. The plane has been removed for restoration and the pumps are gone. Homestyle meals continue in today's restaurant along with breakfast egg "Bomblettes", the “Flying Fortress”, a stacked high club sandwich, the “Tail Gunner”, a generous sized Chiliburger, the “Lacey Lady” a Grilled Turkey Sandwich, steak, seafood, and fresh garden salads.
Hours of operation: Daily 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Plenty of free parking.
The penny machine is in the entry lobby. Cost to press: 51¢ each design. Designs are:
1. (H) The Bomber logo with 'The Bomber Restaurant & Catering'.
2. (V) Sexy Statue of Liberty with "The Lacey Lady".
3. (H) Boeing B-17G with "Family Owned Since 1947 The Bomber B-17G".
