4 miles east of Hwy 163 / P.O. Box 360457 UT 84536 Monument Valley, AZ , 84536 Phone: (435) 727-3468 Website The machines are in the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park Visitor Center/The View Hotel in the state of Arizona (Monument Valley is in both Arizona and Utah), 3 1/2 miles east of U.S. Highway 163 and 2 1/2 miles southeast of the Arizona-Utah border. The park visitor center is the View Hotel with the rooms on one end, a lobby, a restaurant and a gift shop on the second floor at the other end. It’s one connected building. There are four machines in total within the Park/Hotel. One in the hotel lobby, one next to the hotel restaurant and gift shop entrance, one inside the gift shop: The Trading Post, and one in the lobby of the left side exit/entrance of the gift shop and door to the viewpoint. The gift shop and restaurant are on the second floor. You can enter through the entrance on the left side of the Hotel past the viewpoint balcony. There is a separate entrance for the lobby the machine is to the right, next to the entrance. They are all located not too far from the other. Most of the designs are very similar to each other and to the others.
To enter the park and access the penny machines you must pay an entrance fee of $8 per person. Only credit cards are accepted, they don’t accept cash. The fee is good for that day. Even if you are a guest at the View Hotel you must still pay the fee.
If you are there at the park to do the scenic loop drive be aware that the road for the scenic drive to view the various formations is EXTREMELY primitive and is best done with an SUV or 4WD vehicle and not one with low clearance. The hours are closed earlier than the Visitor Center due to daylight and that it takes approximately 2 hours to do. Check website.

All sales here are done using credit/debit cards so the cashiers have no change to give.
The machines’s with aligning red arrows alignments are off, but can be aligned by sight to get a good roll. When turning the handle keep turning until about a 1/3 of the design or die on the wheel is hidden or covered then insert your coins and press your penny.
