The 80,000 square foot Children's Museum of Pittsburgh is based on the concept of letting kids "play with real stuff." Exhibits designed for babies, toddlers, older children, and even their parents encourage hands-on play and learning. Located on Pittsburgh's North Side in the Allegheny Center. The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh is housed in three connected buildings - the historic Allegheny Post Office, the Buhl Planetarium building and the new Lantern Building which joins them.
