Multnomah Falls, at a 620' drop, is the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon. It is the most visited natural recreation site in the Pacific Northwest with more than 2 million visitors stopping by each year to take in the views. Fed by underground springs from Larch Mountain, the flow over the falls varies, but is usually highest during the winter and spring seasons. Built in 1925, the Lodge is on the National Register of Historic Places. The U.S Forest Service Visitor Center, snack bar and gift shop are located on the lower level of the lodge and a restaurant is located on the second level.

Hours of operation for the Gift Shop: Summer: Sunday through Thursday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Call ahead to verify seasonal hours.

Parking is limited. Consider using the free parking lot at exit 31 off of I-84 and not the small parking lot off of Historic Columbia River Parkway Highway 30 ($20 fee required during peak season).
Peak season is from May 24th 2024 (Memorial Day) through September 2nd 2024 (Labor Day). You must have a timed-use permit ($2 fee) to use the exit 31 parking lot off of I-84 during peak season. More information can be found here: https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10089144
