Comments:	Sea Lion Caves is located just 11 miles north of Florence on the beautiful and rugged Oregon Coast. It is America's largest sea cave and the year-round home of the Steller Sea Lion, but sea lions are not always in the Cave. They are wild animals and this is not a zoo so these protected animals come and go as they please. Winter months will usually find hundreds of sea lions in the Cave and when spring arrives, breeding and birthing time, the sea lions will move from the Cave to the rookery areas (the rock ledges out in front of the Cave) and will remain there through the summer.<p> Hours of operation: Monday through Sunday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There are rare occasions when weather conditions may cause the entry to the Caves to close: call ahead to verify. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Close at noon Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. <br> Admission: Adults $18.00 each, Seniors (60+) $15.00 each, Ages 5 to 12 $10.00 each, Ages 4 and younger: FREE. <br> The penny books are on top of the penny machine in the gift shop. <br> The token is available at the register along with token booklets. <br> Free parking.<p> Be sure to telephone ahead to ask if the Sea Lions are actually in the cave.<p> <b>Machine 3</b> in the gift shop.
