Many interesting artifacts from its fort days that are displayed inside the Museum. Outside points of interest are the reconstruction of the Civil War earthworks – still in progress: Battery Russell, the gun battery in the line of fire from a Japanese submarine during World War II, and the near-by Pacific Rim Peace Memorial: Battery Mishler, a one of a kind battery and the underground command post for the Columbia River forts.

All cars entering the Fort Stevens State Park Historic Area need to purchase an Oregon Parks day-use ticket for $5.00 {cash or credit does not give change when using cash in the self serve machine) or purchase an annual day use permit from the Military Museum’s interpretative store for $30.00.
Plenty of free parking inside the park after paying for the use permit.
