There are few Western trailblazers more famous than the one-armed boatman, John Wesley Powell. The Powell Museum & Archives pays homage to John Wesley Powell by sharing his passions of cartography, geology and boating through exhibits on display at our Page location.
The Powell Museum houses interpretive exhibits, historic collections and archives relating to the Colorado River, Glen Canyon Dam, City of Page, geology, paleontology, and cultural history.
Hours are 10am-4pm Monday- Saturday. Closed Sundays.
Admission:
$12/adult
$10/military, seniors
$5/students 10-17 | Free for children 9 and younger
$5/person for group tours with advance reservations by emailing tours@canyonconservancy.org
Free admission for residents in Page, Lechee, Greenehaven and Big Water!
Machine #1 Designs are:
1) Powell Museum script and boat.
2) Colorado River flowing through Glen Canyon.
3) Tower Butte.
4) Hot air balloons floating above Glen Canyon Dam.
Employees at the Conservancy, if available, can open the Museum if you ask to get copies of the pennies.
