12/28/2023 gift shop attendant says they weren’t worth the upkeep so ALL penny presses were removed from the Central Park Zoo..

4/16/24: These do seem to be gone. Could not find them anywhere, and the couple of workers we asked had no idea.

The Central Park Zoo is a small 6.5-acre zoo located in Central Park in New York City. It is part of an integrated system of four zoos and the New York Aquarium managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society. A walk around the Zoo’s five plus acres will take you through a variety of habitats, all carefully designed to recreate the natural environment of the animals they house. Be sure to check out the renovated Polar Seabirds exhibit with four species of Penguins including Gentoo, Chinstrap, Rockhopper and King Penguins.
