Essex County's Turtle Back Zoo was voted #1 Zoo in New Jersey with over 200 species representing animals from around the world. Essex County's Turtle Back Zoo gives you "The World in your Backyard." It offers education programs for grades K-8.

It is $20 to get in, and $17 for seniors and children. If you want to ride the ponies or the Carousel you have to buy tokens. They have the Turtle Back Zoo Logo on them. They are $3.00 each silver token. If you want to feed the Animals it is $0.25 per brass token.

Machine 4 (2014) is in the gift shop foyer hidden behind an ATM machine. Credit card accepted also. Designs are:
