Furthermore, the Museum looks at how Idaho’s unique landscapes have shaped, and continue to shape, the locals experience. The Museum shows the profound relationship between Idaho’s people and its land have always defined what it means to live here. The newly renovated Idaho State Museum provides more space for exhibitions, artifacts, in addition to educational programming that help Idahoans and visitors understand their story.
Hours of operation: Monday through Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm., Sunday and Holidays 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Holidays are: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Veteran’s Day, Columbus Day, and Easter. Closed Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Plenty of free parking across the street.
Admission is required. Check the website for admission prices. If attendance is light, ask receptionist nicely, and they will let you in to quickly roll your coins.
The penny machine is on the lower level to the right next to "Boomtown". Cost to press: 51¢ each design. Designs all with 'Idaho State Museum":
