Xiyu Island, Taiwan This is a historical fishing village, complete with small fishing stalls selling dried seafood of just about any variety. I saw 3 manual machines, each with 4 different designs. Each design requires three Taiwan $10 coins. The machine provides the shiny copper looking tokens to press. I didn't see an ATM or change machine and the locals didn't accept anything but New Taiwan Dollars (NTD) for purchases. The locals I tried talking to didn't seem to understand/speak English, but were willing to try and help. My camera battery died, so I couldn't take any pictures to show what the machines look like or the designs available. I just know they were there and I couldn't get any. It's a small village, but I can't give directions to the machine locations - just wander the few little/short streets and you'll see them. I do remember that one machine was by the very colorful temple at the end of the street. LJM 4.24.19 |
