The Alamo, originally known as Mission San Antonio de Valero, is a former Roman Catholic mission and fortress compound and was the site of the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. It is now a museum in the Alamo Plaza District of Downtown San Antonio. It was built by Franciscan priest Antonio de Olivares and Payaya Indians, and along with the Presidio San Antonio de Bexar and the Acequia Madre de Valero is the origin of the present city of San Antonio, Texas.

Hours of operation: Peak Season (May 28 - Sept. 6): 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Off-Peak Season (Sept. 7 - May 27): 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Closed Christmas Day. You do not have to pay admission to access the machines.
There are several parking for a fee lots around the Alamo.

Machine 10 (Placed 3/ 2018). Cost to press: $1 each. The machine takes dollar bills only, Pre-loaded with Zinc pennies. Designs all have a beaded border:
1. (V) Alamo over outline of Texas and Texas flag below with 'Remember the Alamo'.
2. (H) Texas lone star over a cannon barrel with 'Come and Take It'.
3. (H) Rifle with 'Davey Crockett "You May All Go To Hell. And I Will Go To Texas"'.
4. (H) Five stars below the Texas State flag with 'Texas the Lone Star State'.

Machine 11: No inside mechanism!!
