Comments:	The Philadelphia Mint was created from the need to establish a national identity and the needs of commerce in the United States. The Coinage Act of 1792 was entered into law on April 2. It proclaimed the creation of the United States Mint. Philadelphia at that time was the nation's capital; therefore the first mint facility was built there. The Mint Act also instituted a decimal system based on a dollar unit; specified weights, metallic composition and fineness; and required each United States coin feature "an impression emblematic of liberty". <p> $1 per design machine preloaded with Zinc pennies (2019). Designs are: <br> 1) 'United States Mint', Majestic Eagle with wings spread and a US Flag over it <br> 2) 'United States Mint Philadelphia', "Ye Old Mint" 1792-1833, Mint Building <br> 3) 'Philadelphia Skyline' <br> 4) 'Philadelphia Love', Bust of Ben Franklin <p> 3/08/24: out of order. <br> 8/23/24 Machine is still out of order, but sets are available at the cashier’s station.
