The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is located on the sixth floor of the Dallas County Administration Building (formerly the Texas School Book Depository). It examines the life, times, death, and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. It is located at the very spot from where Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly shot and killed him. Its exhibition area uses historic films, photographs, artifacts, and interpretive displays to document the events of the assassination, the findings of the official investigations that followed, and the historical legacy of the national tragedy. .
Hours of operation are Monday 12:00 pm to 6:00 p.m and Tuesday through Sunday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Last entry at 5:15 p.m.
Admission prices are: Adult $16.00, Senior (Ages 65+) $14.00, Youth (Ages 6-18) $13.00, Children (Ages 0-5) Free or $4.00 with audio guide. All paying tickets receive a free audio guide.
Museum parking cost $8 if you validate your parking in the gift shop.
A penny book, with JFK on the front and the museum building, available in the gift shop. Cost $6 + tax.
