Timna, Israel The Timna copper mines were first mined by the Egyptians during the Neolithic period in the 5th century BCE. The King Solomon’s are called so, regardless of the fact that they have nothing to do with him and were naturally made by the sand, carving into the Timna hills.
This machine is still at work in the park. The designs are:
1) King Solomon. TIMNA PARK, KING SOLOMON’S PILLARS
2) A depiction of an Egyptian hieroglyphics found in the area.TIMNA PARK.
3) The Museum’s emblem, showing the huge pillars found throughout the area. TIMNA PARK, KING SOLOMON’S PILLARS
