The Tower of the Americas is a 750-foot (229-meter) observation tower-restaurant built as the theme structure of the 1968 World's Fair (HemisFair '68) that opened to the public on April 11, 1968. It was the tallest observation tower in the United States from 1968 until 1996 when the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas was completed. It is the tallest building in San Antonio, and the 30th-tallest one in Texas. It has an observation deck that is accessible by elevator for a fee. There is also a lounge and revolving restaurant at the top that provides panoramic views of the city..

Hours of operation: Daily Monday through Sunday 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
You must pay admission to access the machines. Admission: Adults: $14.50, Seniors & Military: $12.50, Children 4 - 12 years: $11.50, Children 3 years & under: Free. Prices do not include tax. The ticket includes unlimited access to Observation Deck, Flags Over Texas & the 4D Theater Ride.
The Tower of the Americas PennyCollector book is for sale in the gift shop for $5.99 plus tax.
On-site parking is available Monday through Friday $8, Saturday & Sunday $11 and for Special Events $15.

There are four 4-die machines located on the observation deck level. Machine 2 is a PennyCollector.com machine, and Machines 3, 4, and 5 are Penny Pincher machines that produce two-sided designs (mules). Cost to press: 51¢ for each design.
They have a change machines upstairs and down that gives $1,$5,$10, or $20 in quarters.

Two designs in each machine are similar but the other two are very different. It appears the penny rollers in the machines are different.
