Downtown Aquarium (formerly Colorado's Ocean Journey) is a public aquarium and restaurant located at the intersection of I-25 and 23rd Ave. The 107,000 square feet main building sits on a 17-acre site adjacent to the South Platte River. Its freshwater and marine aquariums total approximately 1,000,000 US gallons, and exhibit a variety of fish and other animals.

Machines are located in the gift shop and no admission is charged for the gift shop.

The aquarium has paid parking across the street for $8.

Cost of designs:
Penny machines are all Pre-loaded Zinc machines.
Machines #1, #2, and #3 are all $1 for each design using cash or get all 4 designs for $4 using a credit card. Machine #4 is $1 for each design using cash (only accepts $1 bills) or all 8 designs for $5 using a credit card.

Machine 1 - located downstairs in the hallway where the restrooms are located (just past the gift shop and Dive lounge/bar area). Access this free.

Machine 2 - located upstairs in the Snack Shack area (across from the ice cream vendor) as you leave the exhibits. You must pay admission in order to get to this machine.

Machine 3 - located upstairs in the Snack Shack area (across from the ice cream vendor) as you leave the exhibits. You must pay admission in order to get to this machine.

Medallion Machine 1: near the "Critter Corner" exhibit inside the attraction. You must pay admission to get to the machine. Using cash, costs $5 for 1, $10 for 2, or $15 for all four. Takes $1, $5, and $10 bills using cash. If you use a credit card, available only getting all four designs for $15.
