07/29/23: Musuem is undergoing new construction. Ground breaking is on 2025. This is a many years in making project. Temporary Musuem open for public ONLY on Saturday 10.30 to 4 pm.
No Penny Machine. It is locked inside the Gift Shop which is NOT operated by volunteers. So for next couple of years, no machine here. Vira Hora TEC# 5289.

The Navy Museum is housed in the former Breech Mechanism Shop of the old Gun Factory (Building 76).

When you pass through the mail gate off M Street, this is Sicard St. Follow it straight ahead toward the river. It will make a curve to the left taking you by the Navy Museum (736 Sicard St SE), by the Navy Art Gallery & Case Bldg. Continue around to the right till you come to the stop sign. Even thought the arrows on the street show left turn only, you can turn right. Go about 100 feet (pass the Navy Exchange). Bldg 405 is in front on you. Turn left and you will the the Visitor's sign. Turn right into the entrance and keep to the right. The machine is just inside the front door on your right before you get to the gift shop.

Open to the public on weekdays; open to those who have a military ID (CAC) on weekends. There is parking in the lot across from the entrance. Otherwise, there is Visitor parking in Bldg 405.
