Nederwaard 1 Kinderdijk, Netherlands, 2961 AS Website Lovers of windmills will be visually rewarded when they visit Kinderdijk. No where else in the world will you find the largest concentration of operational windmills, not even in other parts of the Netherlands! The Nineteen mills at Kinderdijk were built between the periods of 1500 and 1740 and they are so well-preserved that in 1997, the windmills were put on the UNESCO World Heritage List!
The trails around the windmills are free to use but parking is 5 euro (includes a map/brochure). The second windmill on the right is the only one that you can visit up close and go inside, it cost 3.50 euro. The Kinderdijk windmills are beautiful and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Each coin cost 1 euro and 5 euro cents. There is also a machine for 2 Dutch heritage collector coins.
Machine 1: is only accessible after paying to visit the second windmill. After you pay the machine is located on the right behind a small building before entering the windmill. There are 3 designs

Machine 2: is in the visitor center. You don't have to pay to visit. You must pay to watch the movie about the history of the windmills of Kinderdijk. There are three designs:
1) A row of windmills (The same as the other machine)
2) Building of the Wisboom pumping station (The pumping station in which the visitor center is located)
3) The Wisboom pumping station (Design of the machine itself)
