1215 N 8th St. Manitowoc, WI , 54220 Phone: 920-683-4537 Lincoln Park Zoo is a free 35-acre zoo. The zoo was founded in 1868, making it among the oldest of zoos in North America. It is home to a wide variety of animals. The zoo's exhibits include big cats, Polar Bears, Penguins, Gorillas, reptiles, Monkeys, and other species totalling about 1,100 animals from some 200 species. Also located in Lincoln Park Zoo is a Burr Oak Tree which dates to 1830, three years before the city was founded.
Machine 1 (electric) is located in the "Education & Animal Care" building just inside the door to the left. Design is:
1) 'Lincoln Park Zoo Manitowoc, WI', Bear
Machine 2: Designs are;
1) City of Manitowoc Parks and Recreation', Round logo
2) 'Lincoln Park Zoo Manitowoc, Wisconsin', Word Zoo logo,
3) 'Lincoln Park Zoo Manitowoc, WI', Buffalo/ Bison,
4) 'Lincoln Park Zoo Manitowoc, WI', Bear
7/5/22-Machine 1 is covered and marked out of order. The new machine has 4 designs. The machine only accepts $1 bills and you do not get to use your own penny. I got one copper out of 4 pennies.
8/25/22: Machine 2 is in the Education & Animal Care Building, which is very close to the zoo entrance. As mentioned before, it accepts only $1 bills and dispenses circulated coins (some zinc, some copper). Rolling well.
Machine 1 is out of order, wrapped in a tarp in the same building, and is slated for removal. It has a bear design, and zoo staff feel that theme is adequately represented by the remaining 4-die machine (although it is a different design). |
