Henry Vilas Zoo is a 28-acre public Zoo and that is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Owned by the City of Madison, the Zoo charges no admission or parking fees. Truly a wild place to hang out, this free zoo, located inside Vilas Park, features animals from around the world including African lions, South American alpacas and tortoises from the Galapagos Islands

Parking at this zoo is scarce, even if visiting on a week day.

Machine 8 is at the carousel in the children’s zoo. Designs are:
1) Bear,
2) Polar Bear,
3) Bison,
' 4), Seal.

Machine 9 is at the entrance (and labeled machine two). Designs are:
1) Ape, 2) Lemur,
3) Lion,
3) Tiger face.

Machine 10 at Children's Zoo outside of the carousel (labeled machine three). Designs are:
1) Aardvark,
2) Red Panda,
3) Gibbon,
4) Meerkat.

5/15: Machines 8, 9 & 10 installed here. the other machines are Retired

6/23: Token Machine in Aviary is gone.

8/30/2024:
Machine 8: I got the polar bear design, and it worked well. My daughter tried to get the polar bear, and it rolled off-center. I tried again and it was still off-center. I got the brown bear instead, which worked fine.
