The Big E, also known as The Eastern States Exposition, is billed as "New England's Great State Fair". The only cross-state agricultural fair in the United States, the fair serves as the de facto state fair for the six New England states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. It is the sixth largest agricultural fair in the country, and the largest in New England.
The Big E is held every autumn in West Springfield, Massachusetts. It is open every year for two weeks and three weekends, opening the second Friday after Labor Day and running through the third following Sunday.
The Fair ran from Sept 17 through Oct 3 in 2010.
There were 2 machines with 3 designs each in the New Hampshire Building. They were located in the left section (if entering from the front of the building) next to a giant ear of corn made out of recycled milk bottles.
There was one Machine in the Vermont Building.
The Machines were all moved after the show to their current locations:
Machine 1: Parker's Maple Barn Restarant, Mason, New Hampshire.
Machine 2: Christa McAuliffe Planetarium, Concord, New Hampshire.
Machine 3: Hogback Mountain Scenic Lookout, West Marlboro, Vermont.v
Machine 4: New England Covered Bridges, Scenic New England, Brake for Moose (Owner of machines informed me there were 4 machines at this location - This machine didn't find a new location - can often be found on etsy) |
