San Francisco, CA , 94116 Phone: 415) 753-7080 Website The San Francisco Zoo (Originally named the Fleishhacker Zoo after its founder) is a 100-acre zoo located in the southwestern corner of San Francisco between Lake Merced and the Pacific Ocean along the Great Highway. The zoo's main entrance is to the west on the ocean side of the zoo off of the Great Highway.
This zoo is the birthplace of Koko the Gorilla and housed 693 individual animals representing about 197 species as of 2011.

Machine 24: (2024) Is a four design machine that takes dollar bills and is pre-loaded with circulated pennies. Most zinc but some copper abound. All have 'San Francisco Zoo' on them.
