10/01/22: The machine has been removed and retired. The lobby is closed off while it is being remodeled, Also, the Hotel name will be changing to Pixar Place Hotel. New pennies probably coming. KB

Opened in 1984 as the Emerald of Anaheim and remodeled and re-branded as Paradise Pier on December 15, 2000, this hotel is an 8-minute walk from Downtown Disney shopping and a 15-minute walk from the front gate of Disneyland. Informal rooms and suites feature beach-themed decor, free Wi-Fi and satellite TV; many have park views. Upgraded rooms include access to a lounge with free breakfast, drinks and snacks. Room service is available. Disney perks include early park entry and Disney characters at breakfast. There's a casual grill, a poolside snack bar and a cocktail lounge. Other amenities include a rooftop pool, an arcade, a movie room, a spa and a gym, plus 24,000 sq ft of meeting space.

Hours of operation: Daily, 24 hours. There has only been one penny machine ever at the Paradise Pier Hotel.

Parking (hold your breath):
At the Paradise Pier hotel: For registered hotel guests the cost for self-parking is $25 per night, per vehicle; valet service is $35 per night, per vehicle. For visitors of the hotel, complimentary 3-hour parking (your choice of either valet or self-parking) is included with a Disney’s PCH Grill validation and is available at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. After the initial 3-hour period, visitors will be charged as follows:
$25.00 for the first hour for self-parking, $35.00 for the first hour for valet parking, Each hour after that is an additional $10.00 for both self-parking (up to $65 maximum) and valet (up to $105 maximum).
If you're not a guest or visitor at the Paradise Pier Hotel, you can still access the penny machine by parking at the Downtown Disney parking lot located at the Simba Lot near Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. $25 per vehicle for the first hour plus $10 for each additional hour, with a maximum rate of $65. Enjoy 3 hours of parking when you make a $20 minimum purchase and receive validation from any Downtown Disney location (including quick-service restaurants, merchandise locations and kiosks) or up to 5 hours of parking with validation from any Downtown Disney table-service restaurant. Beyond these validations, each additional hour costs $14, charged in 30-minute increments, with a minimum $7 charge after the initial 15-minute grace period. Additionally, the maximum daily parking and lost ticket fee is $56. Parking is subject to capacity. If you park in the Downtown Disney parking lot, you can walk to the Paradise Pier Hotel via Downtown Disney. Along the route, you can go the World of Disney (Two 3 design with back stamp machines), Wetzel's Pretzels / Salt and Straw (One 4 single sided design machine), Tortilla Jo's (One 4 single sided design machine) and Disneyland Hotel (Three 3 design with back stamp machines)
