William's Rd. Paihia, Bay of Islands, New Zealand This machine is located on the first block of Paihia's main street, William's Rd., the one that comes off from the i-site. It's in front of the souvenir shop next to the ice cream/ gelato place.
Four-die hand crank "Kiwi Pressed Penny machine" Costs $2NZ and a copper blank is provided. Good, clear designs. As with the other Kiwi Pressed Penny machines there is a hole-punch on the right hand side and they sell necklaces and keychains for your penny. Be careful when using the hole punch and only turn the handle ONE revolution or it will punch your penny twice.
Designs all have 'Bay of Islands New Zealand' on them. They are:
1) small Islands at end of name.
2) Kiwi bird,
3) Dolphin,
4) Large island under name.
.
UPDATE 9.December 2023: Still there, still working :) The Kiwi-coin is a bit hard to get, sometimes the machine skips that Symbol. |
