Staples Center Los Angeles, CA 11/29/08: Machine gone.
8/08/19: I just wanted to let you know that the penny machine at the Los Angeles Staples Center was taken away. I was just there and they said they got rid of it in 2016. Hope that's helpful!
The Los Angeles Kings are a professional ice hockey team based in Los Angeles, California. They are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team was founded on February 9, 1966 and became one of the six teams that began play as part of the 1967 NHL expansion. The Kings called The Forum in Inglewood, California (a suburb of Los Angeles), their home for thirty-two years until they moved to the Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles to start the 1999–2000 season.
New designs for 2011 - 2012 season!!
Here's a new machine for all you collectors. There is ONE machine featuring FOUR designs related to the Los Angeles
Kings Hockey team. The machine is put out for every King's home game. It's located on the main level next to the Bailey's Buddy stand near section 117.
Now for the new info: Cost is now $0.50 per coin. It appears there were complaints about the price and they dropped to match what others in the area charge. You must buy a ticket to get in to the machine. You can purchase one for $10 on the day of the game. Terrible seat, if you want to watch the game, but much less than what you would pay for any other ticket. Bailey's Buddy stand opens 2 hours prior to the game, so you should have plenty of time to get them rolled before most of the fans show up.
