1) The Steinhart Aquarium, which takes up the basement area and can partially be viewed top-down from the ground floor.
2) The Morrison Planetarium, which is devoted to things astronomical. The half-hour shows in the planetarium theater change periodically and can be reserved ahead of time.
3) The Kimball Natural History Museum, which, in addition to its African Hall and a Foucault pendulum, includes a variety of changing displays covering a variety of subjects, one being earthquakes.
4) The Osher Rainforest, which is contained inside a four-story dome and includes 1600+ live plants and animals.
Completely rebuilt in 2008, the building is among the newest natural history museums in the United States. The primary building in Golden Gate Park reopened on September 27, 2008.
Admission fee required to get to machines. $33.95 ea.
Machine 6 is in the downstairs Aquarium is by the elevators from the rainforest.
Change machine next to Machine 6 gives you quarters and the proper amount of nice shiny Zinc pennies.
Machine 7 is in front of the Gift Shop next to the Planetarium.
