Comments:	The museum tells the story of the transformation of cocoa into chocolate, from the Maya and the Spanish conquistadors to the chocolate connoisseurs of today. As you walk through the different exhibition rooms, you can learn the history of this precious commodity, from its origins to its transformation as a finished product. Samples of hand made chocolates can be tasted during the visit and you can watch a demonstration given by the master chocolate-maker. Visitors are free to wander around the museum on their own or accompanied by a guide. A chocolate hunt gives children the chance to discover the museum. This museum opened March 22, 2004.<p> Hours of operation: Monday through Sunday 10.00 (10:00 am) to 17.00 (5:00 pm). Closed on the 24th, 25th, 31st of December and January 1st, and 11th through the 15th.<br> Admission: Adults: 13€, 65+, student: 11€, children (6-11 years old): 8€, children under 6 years old are free. A combi ticket with the Frietmuseum (site of another Euro cent machine): Adults: 18€, 65+, student: 15.50€, children (6-11 years old): 11€, and children under 6 years old are free. Entrance is free with the Brugge City card. The Euro cent machine is at the exit from the museum to the left of the ticket counter. As you enter the building, turn left to go to the ticket counter.
