At the SkyJump on level 53, leap off the Tower and fall 630 feet (192 meters) straight down. From the tower, experience incredible 360° views of Tamaki Makaurau, taking in ancient volcanoes, sparkling sunlit harbors and beyond. The Sky Tower Gift Shop offers a wide range of gifts and souvenirs, official All Blacks merchandise as well as many other great keepsakes from the Sky Tower.
Hours of operation: December - January: Monday through Sunday 9.30am to 10pm (last entry 9.15pm), February - April: Monday through Thursday 9.30am to 8pm (last entry 7.30pm), Friday through Sunday 9.30am to 10pm (last entry 9.15pm), May - September Monday through Thursday 9.30am to 8pm (last entry 7.30pm), Friday through Sunday 9.30am to 8.30pm (last entry 8pm), October - November Monday through Thursday 9.30am to 8pm (last entry 7.30pm), Friday through Sunday 9.30am to 10pm (last entry 9.30pm). There are several pay car parks nearby.
Admission: You do not have to pay admission to access the penny machine in the gift shop. Admission is required to access the penny machine and token machine in the Main Observation deck on level 51. Adult (15 years and above) NZ$47 (Online NZ$45), Senior NZ$40 (Online NZ$40), Child (10 to 14 years) NZ$32 (Online NZ$30), Child (3 to 9 years) NZ$25 (Online NZ$23), Child 2 years and under Free.
Entry to the Sky Tower is via the escalators located in the ground floor of the Sky City atrium.
These are hand crank "Kiwi Pressed Penny machines". As with the other Kiwi Pressed Penny machines there is a hole-punch on the right hand side and they sell necklaces and keychains for your penny. Be careful when using the hole punch and only turn the handle ONE revolution or it will punch your penny twice.
Machine 3 is downstairs by the gift shop, sometimes it is inside the shop other times just outside the shop entrance. Cost to press: $2NZ (coin only) and a copper blank is provided. Designs all have a beaded border:
