Berthed at Pier 35 San Francisco, CA , 94133 Phone: (415) 544-0100 Website The SS Jeremiah O'Brien is one of two remaining fully functional Liberty ships of the 2,710 built and launched during World War II. The O'Brien has the distinction of being the last unaltered Liberty ship and remains historically accurate. She is moored at Pier 45, Fisherman's Wharf..
A living museum on the National Register of Historic Places and a National Historic Landmark, the O'Brien transports you back almost seven decades to when sailors braved the harshest of high seas and threat of enemy attack. They still, occasionally, have cruises on this ship. The public is usually welcome for just the cruise admission price.
The machine is Penny Collector Machine and is in the Museum inside the ship near the front.. It is not handicapped accessible (it's an old ship built in the 1940s) and admission to tour the ship is $8. (Cruises cost more).
Design is:
1) 'SS Jeremiah O'Brien San Francisco', image of ship.
04/22/23: Ship has moved to pier 35. Admission is now $25. JLT
