Obere Schmiedgasse 13 Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany, 91541 Phone: +49 9861 4801 Website Rothenburg is Germany's most exciting medieval town with thousand years of history packed between its cobbles. Rothenburg has appeared in several films, notably fantasies. It was the inspiration for the village in the 1940 Walt Disney movie Pinocchio. It was the location for the Vulgarian village scenes in the 1968 family movie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It is sometimes mistaken as the town at the end of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Haus der 1000 Geschenke (House of a Thousand Gifts) is just that; lots of handmade gifts and souvenirs of the region.

10/05/2024: it wasn't super hard to find. The lady inside is super helpful and nice. She has a little baggy of shiny 5 euro cents behind the counter in case you want to exchange yours for a better one.
The machine works perfectly. We also got a round gold coin from there too. The actual gift shop is cute too!
