RK<p> Architecturally inspired by the Temple of Amon at Karnak, the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum houses the largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts on display in Western North America, including objects from pre-dynastic times through Egypt's early Islamic era, as well as Assyrian and Babylonian artifacts. Inside are lots of artifacts, several mummies and a replica of a small Egyptian burial chamber. There are guided very informative tours. Very interesting museum to visit.<p> Hours of operation: Wednesday through Friday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday, New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas eve and day. <br> $9.00 general admission ($1.00 discount on general admission for members of AAA, AAM, KQED, and Military), $7.00 seniors 55 and older and students with I.D., $5.00 children ages 5 - 10, Free on Wednesday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
