Comments:	The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park is a 20-acre zoo focusing on the animals and plants of Central and South America. The zoo opened in 1952 and is owned and operated by the City of Santa Ana. The zoo maintains an extensive primate collection with over a dozen species from around the world. The founder of the Santa Ana Zoo, Mr. Prentice, required that in order for the Zoo to exist, required that there be 50 monkeys on the grounds at all times. When you come for a visit, look for the 50 monkeys! When visiting the Zoo, children and adults can share time together learning about animals, plants and the environment. There is also a children's farm, train ride and carousel featuring endangered species.<p> Hours of operation: Daily 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (grounds close at 5:00 pm). Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. Admission: Adults (age 13+) $12.00, Seniors (age 60+) $9.00, Children (age 3-12) $9.00, under 3 free.
