18/9/16 - Two machines both containing copper blanks. Cost is $2 per penny. Both working great. Change can be obtained from gift shop. They also sell a penny book - same as available across the 3 Melbourne Zoo locations.

Machine 1 located at entrance to gift shop at exit. Designs are:
1) Rhino,
2) Hippo,
3) Lion,
4) Zebra.

Machine 2 located outside education centre near the Australian animals. Designs are:
1) Giraffe,
2) Meercat,
3) African dog,
4) Gorilla.

11/01/09: At this stage all machines are $1.00 (AUD) for the customer to use. 100% “Blank Copper Coins” are pre-loaded in the machines and are dispensed between the rollers when the customer inserts the $1.00 coin. All machines are “Hand Crank” non-electric

The machines are just outside the gift shop near the exit.
