357 N Last Chance Gulch Helena, MT , 59601 Phone: 406-442-3000 Website 'Last Chance Gulch' is the neighborhood the machine is in. It was named by prospectors who came to the gulch looking for gold, and were about to leave for a new area after several failed attempts. One of them suggested they try looking one last time, and, on their last chance, they hit the Mother Lode! The city of HELENA was built, and the neighborhood built on the gulch is now called 'Last Chance Gulch'.
LEWIS and CLARK passed through MONTANA on their way to the PACIFIC OCEAN. 25% of their journey took place in MONTANA, more than any other state.
Like on the penny, the STATE CAPITOL does have MONTANA spelled out on the front lawn in flowers, along with the year. Only in summer, of course!
The HELENA FIRE TOWER is one of the last remaining fire towers in the US. It was built to watch for fires in the city. It kept the town safe, and was its ''GUARDIAN''.
'Last Chance Gulch' is the neighborhood the machine is in. It is sitting outside by the entrance. Designs are:
1) PROSPECTOR with GOLD and LAST CHANCE GULCH.
2) MAP of MONTANA with LEWIS AND CLARK TRAIL.
3) STATE CAPITOL BUILDING in HELENA, MONTANA.
4) FIRE TOWER with GUARDIAN OF THE GULCH.
