Igreja do Castelo Templário, Estrada do Convento Tomar, Portugal, 2300-000 Phone: +351 249 315 089 Website Convent of Christ is the name given to the monument ensemble consisting of the Templar Castle of Tomar, the Order of Christ convent of Rebirth, the conventual wall - now known as the Seven Hills Woods, the Immaculate Conception Hermitage and the conventual aqueduct also known as the Pegões Aqueduct. The castle had its foundation in 1160 and comprised the walled village, the yard and the military house and the knight's round-shaped Oratorium known as Charola, finished in 1190.
Hours of operation: Summer (June to September) 09.00 (9:00 am) to 18.30 (6:30 pm) (last entry 6:00 pm), Winter (October to May) 09.00 (9:00 am) to 17.30 (5:30 pm) (last entry 5:00 pm). Closed on January 1st, March 1st, Easter, May 1st and December 25th.
Paid parking at the Cafeteria of the Castle to the east of the Convent entrance.
Admission: Adults €15, Seniors (aged 65 or over) €7,50, Young people between 13 and 24 years old €7,50, Under 13 free. You must pay admission to access the machines.
