Website

The flagship of the Michigan History Museum System, the Michigan History Museum offers you Michigan's rich past, from the time of the state's earliest peoples to the late 20th century.
Beginning October 2011, an admission fee will be charged for the museum. The lunchroom and gift shop are in the "free" area where admission is not charged.

The gift shop sells two penny books (both from Penny Collector): a bi-fold generic album (holds 20 coins; $3.95), and a "Michigan Souvenir Coin Collector Album" (holds 44 pennies, quarters, and tokens; $5.95) . The larger album has a Penny Collector pressed coin featuring an antique car. jnm

The machine is located to the left of the main entrance, near the vending machines in the lunchroom. You can purchase a limited amount of quarters from the Museum Store, located to the right of the main entrance, although it is best to bring your own if you plan to roll several sets.

Machine 2 designs are:
1) 'Michigan Historical Museum', 'State Capitol Lansing, MI'

11/15: New Pennyman 4 design hand crank machine added here. GSY

7/7/2022: Rolling perfectly on copper cents. I rolled 40 coins with no defects. Admission to the snack area where the machine is located is free; parking is $5 and parking lot payment machine is convoluted - don't be afraid to press the "help" button and tell them you are at the state library parking lot. They're used to giving instructions. jnm
