2565 Niagara Parkway Ontario - Niagara Falls, Canada, L2E 6T2 Phone: (905) 356-2241 Website 11/21/17: Staff at the front said contracts for the machines were up last year and havent been there for awhile.
Part of the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens administered by the Niagara Parks Commission, this conservatory has become world-renowned in the few years that it has been open. Featured are more than 2000 free-roaming butterflies from 65 different species within a tropical forest setting. Visitors walk along a series of pathways filled with tropical plants and highlighted by a huge waterfall. Audio tours are available in six languages.
Machine 1 is located in the restaurant. It took either 4 quarters or 1 Loonie (Canadian Dollar coin). No need for a penny as the machine already has American cents in it.
Retired machines 1 # 2 are gone.
The 1 Die Machine was moved to Souvenir City.
Machine 2 is to be by the cafe, they told me it was out for repairs. It takes your penny but is the same designs.
10/26/2016 update: These are two separate machines with different designs. Machine #1 is in the gift shop at the main butterfly building; although it is beyond the ticket desk, you do not need to pay admission to reach the gift shop or this machine. Machine #1 dispenses a penny as you roll, and chances are it will be a circulated American penny. The blacked out design in machine 2 is still there and rolling good. Its the Maid of the Mist. |
