Calico is a ghost town and former mining town in San Bernardino County, California, United States. Located in the Calico Mountains of the Mojave Desert region of Southern California, it was founded in 1881 as a silver mining town, and today has been converted into a county park named Calico Ghost Town. Located off Interstate 15, it lies 3 miles from Barstow and 3 miles from Yermo. Giant letters spelling CALICO can be seen on the Calico Peaks behind the ghost town from the freeway.

Token Machine 1: All are about 1.5 inch's in diameter. Cost is 3 for $10 or one for $5.00. The machine is on the right as you enter on the wall. Designs are:
1) Bronze color token has a Bison Pic,
2) Copper color token has a train,
3) Bronze color token has 3 prospectors in stream. (Changed from Silver color)

1) 'Wooden Nickel, United States of America', Indian Chief's head in middle/ Rear- Calico Ghost Town Woodworks 1881 - 1896, crossed shovel and axe in middle.
