Located in the Calico Mountains of the Mojave Desert region of Southern California, it was founded in 1881 as a silver mining town, and today has been converted into a county park named Calico Ghost Town. Located off Interstate 15, it lies 3 miles from Barstow and 3 miles from Yermo. Giant letters spelling CALICO can be seen on the Calico Peaks behind the ghost town from the freeway.
Token Machine 1: All are about 1.5 inch's in diameter. Cost is 3 for $10 or one for $5.00. The machine is on the right as you enter on the wall. Designs are:
1) Bronze color token has a Bison Pic,
2) Copper color token has a train,
3) Bronze color token has 3 prospectors in stream. (Changed from Silver color)
