I found it only works if you hold the slide by the front left part and push the slide toward the back right corner of the slide, esentially sliding it in a very slight diagonal path. <br> Also, if you like the design pressed on the heads side of the penny, then load the penny with heads side facing away from the quarters. Rolled very nicely on copper. RandyK
