In the General Store, one can find souvenirs: t-shirts and caps, nostalgic candy, bottled soda, and a soda jerk featuring shakes, malts & floats that you can order next door at the saloon. <p> The General Store's rich history goes back to the early days of settlers passing into the West. The General Store in Goodsprings, NV may be one of the oldest general stores in the state still serving customers. <p> The Pioneer Saloon is the oldest bar in southern Nevada, dating all the way back to 1913. The Pioneer has been a fixture of Goodsprings for more than 100 years, incorporating fixtures from other Nevada boomtowns like an original Brunswick bar counter from Rhyolite Ghost Town after its bust. Outfitted with original wooden boardwalks out front, the Goodsprings Pioneer Saloon is a stamped tin manufactured building made by Sears and Roebuck. It’s believed to be one of the last—if not the very last—of its kind in the United States. The Pioneer Saloon is roughly 25 miles from the south end of Las Vegas.
