The Akron Zoo is a 50-acre Zoo and is home to over 700 animals representing over 90 different species. It has almost 400,000 visitors annually. The animal exhibits are divided into six different themed areas containing animals from different regions of the world.

There is a parking fee of $3.00 for non-members.

Token machine 1: Each cost $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00 You can access the first machine without paying admission. Designs are:
1) Bear walking right,
2) Two Penguins,
3) Tiger facing right (Tiger medallion was NOT dispensing when I visited. I believe this is why the person before me reported they were 3 for $10 and not 4 for $15 LJB)
4) Tortoise facing left.

08May2025 - LJB - Unfortunately, Machines 5 and 6 are now gone and retired. I even asked the very nice cashier in the gift shop and she said they had to get rid of them because they had way too many issues and they constantly had to fix them.
However, Machine 7. even though preloaded, is rolling great! Super friendly staff too!
