Portsmouth Historic Dockyard HAMPSHIRE - Portsmouth, England, PO1 3PX Phone: +44 23 9282 0921 Website Portsmouth has been a center for shipbuilding and repair since 1194, when King Richard I ordered the building of the first dock by the harbor, and granted Portsmouth its charter. Boathouse 7, constructed in 1807, was built as a mast house, but later used for the construction, repair and storage of small boats. It is constructed partly over the Mast Pond on cast iron supports and is a good example of the timber-framed buildings once common in Naval dockyards. The building now houses the Dockyard Apprentice Exhibition, the largest Historic Dockyard restaurant and events space and Nauticalia, a maritime-themed gift shop. There are also vintage arcade machines at the back of the building.
Machine 1 is outside at the front entrance. Cost to press: £1.01 each design. Designs all have a beaded border:
1. (H) A Higgins boat with 'F8 Portsmouth Historic Dockyard'.
2. (H) A High Speed Launch with 'HSL 102'.
3. (H) Skull wearing a bandana and hat above crossbones with 'Boathouse 4'.
4. (H) Motor gun boat with 'D-Day 75'.
