During the construction of Interstate 70, the largest known Fremont Indian village was uncovered. This museum preserves treasures from the site, including pottery, baskets, and arrowheads. Spend a day at the museum, take a hike on the trails, and then camp at nearby Castle Rock Campground or Sam Stowe Campground.
Hours of operation: March through November: Monday through Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (open until 6:00 pm Memorial Day through Labor Day), December through March: Monday through Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, closed Sunday. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Days.
Plenty of free parking.
Admission: $10 per vehicle, $5 for bikes and Off highway vehicles. if you ask nicely they may allow you to access the machine for free to use it.
Machine 1 is inside the front doors of the visitors center. Cost to press: 51¢ each design. Designs all have a beaded border with 'Fremont Indian State Park':
