The California Living Museum (CALM) is California’s premier native zoo and garden. A visit to the beautiful grounds of CALM will take you through different animal exhibits and plant communities to give you and encapsulated glimpse at the diversity of our golden state. Many of the 250+ animals at CALM are non-releasable; that is, they cannot live in the wild due to physical disabilities and others have become dependent on humans.
CALM is also home to several endangered flora and fauna species.
A visit to CALM won’t be complete without visiting the $2 million, award-winning Cats of California exhibit which houses mountain lions and bobcats.

Admission isn't required for entry to the gift shop and access to the machine. Gift shop attendee told me that she sees lots of people coming in just to use the pressed penny machine.

Hours:
The Museum is currently open from Tuesday to Sunday 9am-4pm, as of 9-14-24.
Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
