Originally a separate museum, the collection is now affiliated with the Louisiana State Museum. It is located in the Old U.S. Mint building bordering the historic French Quarter neighborhood.
Hours of operation: Tuesday through Sunday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Closed Monday. No on site parking facilities.
Street and pay parking nearby. If you ask nicely, the attendant will let you in for free to press the pennies.
Admission: Adults $8, Students, senior citizens, active military $6, Children 6 and under - FREE. Groups of 15 or more (with reservations) - 20% discount, Purchase tickets for two or more museums - 20% discount, AAA membership discount - 10% discount.
Machine 1 is on the first floor on the other side of the wall behind the ticket counter. Cost to press: 01¢ each design (no quarters needed). Designs all have a beaded border:
