Comments:	The Riverside & Great Northern Railway is a 15-inch gauge railroad and living museum in Wisconsin Dells. The steam train ride travels along a 1.5 mile right-of-way through scenic canyons, woods, and rock cuts beside the Dells of the Wisconsin River. The ride lasts approximately 30 minutes.<p> The penny press designs are of four of the most famous of the steam locomotives the Sandley Light Railway Equipment Works built while in business from 1948-1983. <p> The machine is located in the Hyde Park Station waiting room. Designs are: <br> 1) No. 1 "Tom Thumb" is a vertical boiler locomotive, <br> 2) No. 82 is an "American Standard" type 4-4-0 steam locomotive typical of locomotives from the mid-1800s <br> 3) No. 98 is an "American Standard" type 4-4-0 steam locomotive typical of locomotives from the mid-1800s <br> 4) The "Atlantic" 4-4-2 steam locomotive design represents nos. 127, 128, 129 and 1916 <p. 5/4/22: update & correction: this machine only needs 2 quarters (50 cents). In addition, the side of your penny that faces away from the quarters is the side that will receive the design impression. jnm <p> 5/26/25: Machine in the same spot. Asked nicely (it wasn't too busy) and they let me go get pennies without paying admission.
