The Magic Mountain Recreation Area in Big Bear Lake, home of the world-famous Alpine Slide, offers family fun activities year round. In the summer there is a cool water slide and in the winter there is plenty of fun snow play. The Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain is open all year and is Southern California's only authentic bobsled experience..

Hours are Sun-Thurs: 10:00am-6:00pm, Fri-Sat: 10:00am-9:00pm

The penny machine is located in the lobby almost immediately upon entrance you will see it. Each design costs 50 cents and your penny. All have 'Big Bear Lake' (One with CA) on them. Designs are:
1) 'Alpine Slide', males in slide car,
2) 'Soaring Eagle', Eagle flying in from of the Moon,
3) 'Snow Play'', male sliding in tube on mountain
4) "Water Slide', child on slide.
