Comments:	Built to provide the community of Missoula a new option for good, old-fashioned fun. On opening Day, May 27, 1995, over 100,000 hours of volunteer time had gone into the construction of 38 permanent ponies; three replacement ponies; two chariots; 14 gargoyles, gargoyle frames and mirror frames; and the largest band organ in continuous use in the United States, all within a jewel box building. In the spring of 2001, over 4,000 volunteers gathered to create Dragon Hollow Play area next to the Carousel in just nine days. A grassy field became a magical play land, again with the help of the entire community, and friends from around the world.<p> The ride tokens (40 designs in all) can be purchased at the gift shop cash register for 75¢ each. Some ride token designs will be in a plastic bucket on the counter; ask the attendant for the different designs behind the counter. <br> Hours of operation: Wednesday through Sunday 11:00 am to 5:30 pm September through May, at least 11:00 am to 7:00 pm June through August (may open early or stay open late at staffs choice but will be operational during set hours). <br> Closed on Monday and Tuesday until further notice. <br> Plenty of free parking.
