Built to provide the community of Missoula a new option for good, old-fashioned fun. On opening Day, May 27, 1995, over 100,000 hours of volunteer time had gone into the construction of 38 permanent ponies; three replacement ponies; two chariots; 14 gargoyles, gargoyle frames and mirror frames; and the largest band organ in continuous use in the United States, all within a jewel box building. In the spring of 2001, over 4,000 volunteers gathered to create Dragon Hollow Play area next to the Carousel in just nine days. A grassy field became a magical play land, again with the help of the entire community, and friends from around the world.

The ride tokens (40 designs in all) can be purchased at the gift shop cash register for 75¢ each. Some ride token designs will be in a plastic bucket on the counter; ask the attendant for the different designs behind the counter.
Hours of operation: Wednesday through Sunday 11:00 am to 5:30 pm September through May, at least 11:00 am to 7:00 pm June through August (may open early or stay open late at staffs choice but will be operational during set hours).
Closed on Monday and Tuesday until further notice.
Plenty of free parking. But, there is no RV parking.
